Patrick Hunt '16

  • Title
    Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach
Coach Pat is entering his second season as an assistant coach with the varsity baseball program. The son of head coach Pat Hunt, Pat Jr. is also a graduate of Northridge (Class of 2016), and enjoyed a decorated playing career for the Knights.

A 4-year varsity player in both basketball and baseball, Coach Pat ranks among the best in baseball program history in a variety of categories. He is the program’s all-time leader in home runs, and ranks in the Top 5 all-time in plate appearances, RBIs, and single-season batting average. On the mound, he ranks in the Top 5 in career wins, strikeouts and innings pitched. In 2016, he became the 3rd Knight ever to be awarded ISL Conference Player of the Year.

On the court, Coach Pat was an integral part of two IHSA Regional championship teams, and was a key starter on the Knights’ 2015 Sweet 16 squad. He also ranks among the top three-point shooters in program history.

Following his playing career, Pat attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where he was a four-year student assistant with the men’s basketball program. In his four years at Loras, the Duhawks experienced their winningest four-year stretch in program history — highlighted by their DIII NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance in 2019.

In addition to coaching, Pat works at a national cable news network in Chicago.
