Cory Jensen

Coach Jensen serves as a History and English teacher at Northridge. His soccer experience stretches back to the collegiate level, where he played at St. Mary’s University (NCAA Div. 2), the University of Dallas (NCAA Div. 3), and Cardiff University (UK). In Dallas, Coach Jensen was a part of teams that set school records for wins in a season (17), assists in a season (73), games without a loss (12), and goals scored (84). Later at Cardiff University, Coach Jensen’s men’s first team gained promotion to BUCS Division 1. 

In terms of coaching, Coach Jensen has coached at the NCAA Division 3, club, Olympic Development (ODP), and high school level, most recently at Grayslake Central High School and Elite Soccer Club of Arlington Heights. At the University of Dallas he helped coach the 2007– 10 men’s teams to a 47-24-4 record, earning the school’s first NEAC championship, records for shutouts in a season, consecutive wins, wins in a season, AD3I national ranking, and first NCAA tournament appearance. At the high school level, both in Texas and Illinois, he has earned a Fox Valley Conference Championship, Regional Championship, District 11-4A Championship, 4A Area Championship, 4A Sectional Championship, 4A Region II Championship, and 5A Bi-District Championship. In Texas, he earned a 65-39-23 record as junior varsity and freshman coach from 2009-2013. 

Coach Jensen has four children, two daughters at Embers Academy and one at Willows Academy, and a son who looks forward to attending Northridge. He is grateful for this opportunity to grow as a coach, teacher, and fan of the world’s game.
