Coach Joe Rhee is current Head of Middle School at Northridge and teaches Physical Science. Coach Rhee is a New Jersey native and was a four year varsity wrestler and captain at Tenafly High School. He holds his BA and M.Ed from the University of Notre Dame. He started his coaching career in Los Angeles where he was the linebacker coach at Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary High School
Since joining the Northridge staff, Coach Rhee has been involved in coaching Middle School basketball as well as Varsity Track and Field. He was named Conference Coach of the year two years in a row.Â
Coach Rhee founded the Northridge wrestling program in 2018 and has served as head coach of the program since its genesis. He coaches both at the High School and Middle School levels. Since establishing the program, Coach Rhee has had sectional qualifiers every season and has produced regional champions and state qualifiers.Â
Coach Rhee and his wife Grace have two sons, Theo and Jonah.Â
