NILES, Illinois — Anticipation is building as the Northridge basketball program officially released its 2025-26 schedule, a season that marks its first in the highly competitive Chicagoland Christian Conference (CCC). With a new league, a slate of must-see home matchups, and several marquee tournament appearances, the Knights are set for an action-packed winter.
The excitement tips off Tuesday, Nov. 25, when Northridge opens the annual Battle at the Ridge Thanksgiving Tournament. As has become tradition, the opener will double as Alumni Homecoming Night, welcoming back generations of former Knights to a packed house in Niles. The four-day event will once again showcase top programs from across the area, including tournament newcomers TF South and Oak Park-River Forest.
From there, the Knights turn their attention to their CCC debut, heading on the road to take on Aurora Christian on Dec. 9. Northridge will then quickly turn the page to a string of high-level non-conference matchups. The Knights host crosstown rival Niles Notre Dame in a weekend battle at "The Dungeon" on Dec. 13, before welcoming Montini Catholic to campus ten days later for a midweek 5:00 pm tip-off.
As the holidays roll around, Northridge once again returns to the prestigious Plano Christmas Classic, beginning Friday, Dec. 26. The Knights have made the tournament a tradition and will look to build on last year's strong 3rd place showing against a field of perennial contenders in one of Illinois' most historic holiday tournaments.
Out of the holiday break, Northridge will travel to Elmhurst for what is expected to be a high-energy matchup with non-conference rival IC Catholic on Jan. 7.
January will bring the Knights an exciting slate of CCC and non-conference competition, hosting a talented Christ The King program on Jan. 13 and St. Edward on Friday, Jan. 16. Following a quick break from the CCC at Timothy Christian's MLK Trojan Classic vs. Westinghouse on Jan. 17, the Knights jump right back into conference play with road matchups against Chicago Christian (Jan. 20) and Timothy Christian (Jan. 23).
Northridge will also return to Fulton High School for the Eric Ottens Classic on Saturday, Jan. 24.
The end of January and February will carry the Knights through the remaining CCC schedule, squaring off with Marian Central Catholic, Chicago Hope Academy and Wheaton Academy. Following another tough non-conference matchup with Maine West, the Knights close out their inaugural CCC regular season by hosting Bishop McNamara on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
A new twist for the Knights this season is the inclusion of the Chicagoland Christian Conference Tournament, hosted by Timothy Christian. The tournament will tip-off on Saturday, Feb. 14.
Before kicking off the IHSA state tournament, the Knights close out the regular season with a pair of non-conference games, hitting the road to play Christian Liberty before returning home to host UIC College Prep, an event that will double as Senior Night.
With a blend of familiar rivalries, new conference tests, and marquee tournament appearances, the season promises to be yet another exciting one for the Knights.
