Four Knights student-athletes to continue their careers at collegiate level

Northridge is proud to recognize four senior student-athletes for their commitment to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Through years of dedication, hard work, leadership and perseverance, they have earned opportunities to continue competing at the next level while representing Northridge well in the competitive arena.

Billy Arnold — Dominican University (Basketball)

Arnold played a major role in last season's 24-win conference championship basketball team before stepping into a starting guard role this winter. As team captain, he led a young and inexperienced roster with toughness, competitiveness and relentless effort throughout the season.

He earned Chicagoland Christian Conference All-Conference honors and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Battle at the 'Ridge Thanksgiving Tournament. Arnold finished the season as the team's leading scorer with nearly 300 points while also recording more than 100 assists.

Thad Quinley — Franciscan University (Baseball)

Quinley was recognized for his consistency and versatility during his three-year varsity baseball career at Northridge. A dependable contributor throughout his time with the Baseball Knights, he developed into a valuable multi-position player, contributing as a pitcher, first baseman, catcher and third baseman.

This season, Quinley ranks second on the team in hits while standing among the team leaders in batting average and on-base percentage. He also leads the team in pitching appearances, demonstrating his durability and commitment to the program.

Joseph Morales — University of Mary (Baseball)

Morales put together an impressive four-year varsity career that showcased both his talent and resilience. His dedication to the game was especially evident after battling back from Tommy John surgery prior to his junior season.

By the end of his career, Morales will rank among Northridge's all-time statistical leaders. He currently holds the program record for walks and ranks among the school's leaders in both single-season home runs and career RBIs.

One of the defining moments of his career came during his sophomore season, when he delivered the biggest hit in program history — a clutch seventh-inning home run that helped secure the Baseball Knights' first-ever regional championship.

Peter Kipp — Boston College (Track & Field)

Kipp leaves Northridge as one of the most accomplished athletes in school history. A four-year varsity athlete in both cross country and track and field, he earned All-State and All-Conference honors in both sports while also capturing the Chicagoland Christian Conference championship this season.

As a junior, Kipp helped lead Northridge to the 2024 IHSA Cross Country State Championship. He currently holds school records in both the one-mile and two-mile events and competed in more than 100 races throughout his high school career.

His commitment to year-round training and continuous improvement prepared him for the opportunity to compete at the Division I level at Boston College.

Congratulations to Billy, Thad, Joseph and Peter on their outstanding accomplishments. The Northridge community wishes them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their academic and athletic journeys.
